A decent amount of a heads-up player's time will be spent playing short matches against random opponents who sit with random stack sizes. These guys bring a wide range of strategies and therefore we need to adjust quickly to give ourselves the best chance of success. These are usually softer matches, but the unpredictability factor often makes them unexpectedly frustrating. Part 1 focuses on adapting your bet-sizing to the opponent's stack size to avoid crossing the commitment threshold prematurely. It also discusses the importance of observation early on and keeping your strategy conservative until you have a decent read or two.
