I covered a few more hands than usual and in slightly less depth, as many patterns were somewhat repetitive--an key point to pick up on for this concept!

A disciplined poker player cannot afford the risk of high variance at higher-than-normal stake levels without enough volume to equalize it. This month, I had really low volume at $5/10, so I decided to short-stack in order to reduce my variance and not risk blowing my entire month of grinding in just a few bad match-ups. Because this is a delayed commentary video, I spend more time than usual breaking down the hands and discussing alternate lines. There are a couple smallish pots that I think show some important concepts and I discuss why its so important to be consistently playing these pots well if you want to make long-term money at poker.
