Texas Hold'Em is one of the most popular forms of poker.
Texas hold 'em (also known as hold'em or holdem) is a variation of the standard card game of poker. The game consists of two cards being dealt face down to each player and then five community cards being placed by the dealer-a series of three ("the flop") then two additional single cards ("the turn" and "the river"), with players having the option to check, bet or fold after each deal, i.e. betting may occur prior to the flop, "on the flop," "on the turn," and "on the river."
I run two tables; one is a 6-max table and the other is full-ring. Most of my time is spent evaluating the play at the 6-max table as the game is shaping around one player. I talk about important concepts in note-taking and how to adjust when a very bad player is present.
In this live play video I get back to the basics and focus on some important fundamentals for winnings players at mid-stakes. I also discuss the importance of not auto 3 betting certain hands like 1010 and we see that help us disguise our range post-flop.
Part 6 continues with our opponent staying very tight, and Shane takes maximum advantage of that by opening every button and making good bluffs post flop. Interestingly, the opponent is also tight with his 3-Bets, but also shows down a couple non-premium hands that he 3-Bet, Shane does a really good job making him pay for it.
In part two I continue my 1/2NL session against an extremely loose recreational player. I discuss how to widen your range profitably when playing an 80% VPIP, and how to isolate them in 3b pots to protect against other regs.
In this series I will return to live play at the micros but with a 6max flavor. I will be starting off at NL2 and working up through NL5 and NL10. I will be focusing heavily on table selection, seat selection and the fundamentals for maximum success at these limits.
Hey Everyone! After taking a month off I'm back with Part 1 of this 50NL video review. I am reviewing the play of one of my students and stakees. Hopefully I can help him out and you guys can learn a few things as well! Make sure to tune in to Part 2 next month and enjoy!
I pull open two juicy tables and work on some fish. There area a couple bluff spots as well as discussion on adjustments against poor players.

Part 5 is an important piece of the match, simply because our opponent reveals a huge tell about his range. That information will become very important going forward and should increase Shane's edge in the match if he makes the appropriate adjustments to exploit it.
This is a $1/2 NLHE session I played against a wild and unpredictable re-buying recreational player. Things get a little crazy, so I talk about how to adjust your play to make the most of a table that's gone bananas!
In this video I look back through a bunch of interesting hands that I have recently encountered. We learn that a small bet can be just as powerful as a large bet when used in the correct situation.
I have four tables going at different stakes. I lose money in this video by misjudging some ranges. However, I win a big flip towards the end and talk about how playing different stakes can mess with your results and thinking about sessions.
