Poker Coach –

I've been playing poker professionally since the beginning of 2006. I realized that I was making more money from poker than I was likely to make from a potential career in astrophysics, so I dropped out of school to play poker full-time. I played a number of games seriously that year, but focused mainly on Limit Hold'em. I was doing well in the $30/$60 games for a while but after the UIGEA passed, I found the LHE games were starting to dry up so I transitioned to Pot-Limit Omaha. I've been playing PLO as my main game since early 2007 and have a solid win rate at stakes varying from $1/$2 through $10/$20.

Through the winter of 2010, PLO cash 6-max was my primary poker focus and its where I've logged a lot more hands and hours than I have playing any other game. I then started working on PLO heads up and mixed games, while also starting to play more tournaments. I've also had a good bit of success playing tournaments as well. In September 2008, I chopped the WCOOP PLO event for 107K 3-handed and then this February I took 2nd in the Sunday Million for 140K. I feel like I'm very strong in a wide range of games as I love playing mixed games and have spent a lot of time playing Triple Draw as well as the Stud variants.

At the 2010 World Series of Poker, I was fortunate enough to win the $10k HORSE World Championship bracelet for almost $700k. It was a very tough final table and I just tried to focus on one hand at a time and was able to take it down. When I'm not actually playing poker, I still focus on the game and spend a lot of time in the strategy forums on 2+2.
