Default 3bet KQs from BB and CO min 4bets 200NL

My session stats is 28/21/af2.0/3bet11.4 95 hands

    The villain is 30/30/af1.3/3bet11.1 4bet75% 49 hands

I was playing 4 tables and I forgot to click the "Auto Buy-In to Max" box at the WPT Poker. I keep telling people to turn on auto top up and here I am keep forgetting to do it.

A small sample size but my impression is that he is a LAG and likes to 3bet and 4bet a lot and no one was challenging him thus far. He just 4bet someone else and he won like 5 hands ago.

So I 3bet him with my KQs from BB and he min 4bets which is what he did earlier to someone else.

I time down and think about blasting him with 5bet but decided against it.

What do you think get it in preflop?

I call his min 4bet and hit a good flop and I could lead small here to encourage him to come over the top of me but I felt he just completely missed so I go for check call and I'm not gonna CR because that's just dumb. Yes another heart either kills the action or I go way behind but I take a chance and check here but he doesn't go for it.

Turn is a perfect card because it nails his range of Kx, AK, KQ, KJ, KK, AQ, and so on.

So I lead pot on turn and he calls which is nice.

River changes nothing and I was actually glad that I was awkward stack sized because it gives him a much better price to call so I just go ahead and shove and he goes into time bank mode or whatever they have over there. I was like "What the hell? just call already!!" He eventually does end up calling here.

What do you think of my line preflop and postflop?

Is preflop 5bet and get it in or fold situation? Is fold more right than just call?

    FOLD PREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEE
[ok, its not that clear as in many other threads of you, but i would muck it pre]

i actually think, you play postflop fairly well for the most part [your sizings are not always the best, but not super terrible either], but your biggest and humungous leak is preflop. Cant tell you, which are the best training-videos for that. Maybe make a forumthread and ask for it.

Ok, but to the hand: I would actually call here preflop cauz i dont wanna face a 4bet, which is likely cauz of his 4betstat and 3bet/calling OOP suxx, except when you hit big. Against this guy you should adjust your 3betting strategy and 3bet a very polarized 3betting range. Hands like AK/AQ, most pairs, which you can happy 5betshove cauz they do well against his 4bet/calling range and he will fold alot to your 5betshove anyways. Add to your 3bet-bluffing range hands, you fold happily to a 4bet...
If the guy defends 3bets alot by calling, then i would add a hand like KQs to your 3betting range cauz you need hands, which are good to play postflop...

As far as the hand goes, i bet turn 2/3th pot and shove river the rest. There is nothing you can do wrong here

I'm never folding KQs here just because he 4bets way too often. So I think I should have blasted him with 5bet and call off a shove from him preflop. Calling 4bet oop is definitely not an ideal line for sure so I agree with you. It's a fold or 5bet IMO. So I don't like my call here.

It turns out he was drawing dead on this flop, so I like the way I played my hand but I don't have to pot the turn, I should probably bet like 65%-70% of the pot which makes my river shove a decent price for him to call.

FWIW, I don't mind a 3bet here, but I would probably be sizing it slightly smaller given your stack size. Also, since he is aggro, I do like a call sometimes as alex said. As for the 4bet, what happened when he min 4bet the other guy at the table? Did you take a note on that? It's ****ty that you get 4bet, and folding is probably the prudent play. But since he is aggro, I don't hate calling given your odds and then just getting the money in if you hit top pair or better. Also, 5bet jamming is something I would never do because his calling range is going to be well ahead of your hand. And yeah, postflop: flop is good, turn I'm betting less to have a little more to shove on the river as was mentioned.

He min 4bet a TAG and TAG just calls and the flop came 885 and the aggro bet 3/4 IP after TAG checks and turn was a brick and TAG checks again and the aggro shoved turn and TAG folded slowly. When I saw that I was yelling "Give me those cards!!" because if I was that TAG I would've snap called, I think TAG folded TT-QQ. This was exactly 5 hands before mine. I didn't take any note but now that you mentioned it I think I will. Thanks.
