    Default Zerosum: Nash Charts Memorization

    Hi Zerosum,

A couple of question regarding your Nash videos.
When you say a Garbage hands can't be shoved for 5BBs, what about less than 5BBs.
For example can T5o be shoved for 4BBs?
Or, looking at the Call chart, can J6o be called for 4BBs?

    Also, concerning the Premium hands.
When you say they can shove or call for 10 BBs, do you mean 10BB or higher or 10BB and less.
For example can K2o be shoved for 20BBs or 25BBs?
Or do you mean K2o can be shoved for 10BBs or less?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Hopefully I can try and point you in the right direction.

What Zero has tried to do in the video is simplify basic Nash charts. You can find copies of the charts here:

    http://www.holdemresources.net/hr/sngs/hune.html

Every hand actually has a correct mathematical value. It is important to remember that these hands can be shoved for xBBs and less than the numbers in the chart. As you can see T5o can be shoved from 4.1 and K2o is shovable for 11.6BBs or less.

However, looking up charts when you are multitabling heads up is a real pain. Zero has found some basic points that are really easy to remember. It takes some time and practice to memorise and then get used to them but they work really well, at least at the lower stakes.

As you can see they are not perfect and they are primarily aimed at 9 man SnGs although they can be used in any format. In 9 mans it is rare to be heads up with an effective stack of more than 10BBs.

Thanks for asking the question though. I have recently moved to the hypers and need to do some more work on Nash and I think you have helped me find a great place to start.

    Thanks.
I don't know how I missed just looking at the charts to clear it up.

I was making a MindMap of the charts and I guess I was focused on that too much.

    I was used FreeMind.
If anyone finds any errors please let me know.

This looks good. I personally prefer the heat map (at least I think that is what it is called) that Greg uses in his video but the important thing is finding something you are happy with.

    Hi,

I think this is the one you are after:

Are you having any problems using the main video tab?? There has been a serious site upgrade and if there are any problems it will be worth chasing them up just now.
