Default Psychology of Poker vs. Prof No-Limit Holdem

I like to read multiple books at the same time. However, I always focus mainly on one book. At the moment, I am heavily focusing on Poker Math That Matters (working through the problems and studying approx. 2 hrs daily). I also own Hole Card Confessions which I read through my phone whenever I am not home.

I am looking to buy a third book, but am up in the air between Professional No limit Holdem and Psychology of Poker. They both sound like must haves, but I am just looking for one at the moment.

Suggestions? Personal experiences with either of these books? All is welcome.

    Thanks

If its Psychology of Poker by Alan Schoonmaker, its very outdated. I would personally just wait for Jared's book, coming around the 3rd week of April. Its going to be a game changer, so I would finish hole card confessions in the meantime, and then grab Jared's.

Im no expert by any means, when I read Schoonmakers book about a year ago I wasnt all that impressed. Mainly because, as Hunter stated, its pretty outdated. A lot of that info has bled onto the web.

    Cant wait for Jareds book

If I had to choose between those two, I'd put PNLH in the queue first as well.

Another rare poker psychology gem is Tommy Angelos "Elements of Poker"

He is more of a limit player but the mental game notes in the book are simply excellent.

I have Tommy's story on "Folding" printed and pasted on my wall right above my computer. I want to be a member of the folding club.

Thanks everyone. I actually ended up purchasing Tommy Angelo's Elements of Poker. I am looking forward to Jared's book. I recently came across some tidbits from podcasts that he is featured in and would love to get his book. Prof No-Limit Hold Em will be an addition to the library as well.

Elements of poker has helped me with tilt and keeping focus through out a playing session. I will be getting Jared's book in a couple weeks also. Been read Qtip's books.

Prof No-Limit Hold Em is a great book but you might consider Ed Miller's newest book 'Small Stakes No Limit Holdem'. Miller is awesome and this book is aimed directly at the 6max online player.

    Hey guys,

Just to let you also know, Tommy Angelo also has a video series in where he talks about his concepts and ideas with another fellow player. Being able to listen to him talk and reading it helped me understand his concepts way more. Just thought I'd add that in.
