Default Squee451: Wants to Coach you!

    Hey DTB members,

Adam "Squee451" Sherman here copying almost word for word heyimdros coaching post, cause it's very good and has most of the info I want to give

    Why Squee?

I've been professionally playing for a year and a half now, exclusively on the internet. I had incredible success in 2010 using Holdem manager better than I think any other tournament player that I know.... (I don't know many that use it fwiw). I have coached multiple people who'd be happy to vouch for how good I am as a coach and contact info for references is available upon request.

I believe with holdem manager and my mathematical mind, I offer a unique perspective on tournament poker that many regulars aren't able to offer as coaching.

    My Stats

    Pokerstars OPR (#1 on 2010)

    http://www.officialpokerrankings.com...4249A.html?t=2

Fulltilt OPR (dont check it, it's withered)

    http://www.officialpokerrankings.com...596B1.html?t=2

How does it work? (Thanks Dro)

    A number of ways:

I will help review hand histories or those of an entire tournament using holdem manager.

I will teach you how to set up and use holdem manager as effectively as possible including helping you to understand the numbers and setting it up.

I'll go over math in the spots where I think you have leaks and explain mathematically my reasoning why I think your play is wrong or why it's right

I will "ghost" or watch you play a session and listen to you talk about why you're making the decisions you're making, and then review them, and vice versa, you will ghost me during a session and listen to my logic.

We go about doing this mainly by using Skype (headset mandatory), Teamviewer and Mikogo, and e-mail to keep in consistent contact. I'm also willing to consider face to face coaching depending on where you are and other factors.

    How much does it cost?

It's $300 to be coached per hour by me, with 250$ an hour available for 20 hours of coaching.

If you let me play 4 tables while I coach (I usually play 12) I'll take 50/hr off the price.

The cost is high because I believe I have a unique skill set to offer involving math and holdem manager. I also want serious applicants who are trying to do this for real money.

Other cheaper options, I try to run a study group with people I stake on thursdays around noon or two PST (wonŽt be restarting until November 20th probably). If you guys want to join, weŽll go over tough hands in holdem manager or review a full tourney, it usually takes 1-2 hours. The study group for two people would only be 150/hr each (minimum of two people required though), weŽll be talking on skype and viewing someones comp through teamviewer. IŽll answer any questions you have for me during this time and make a video for you guys to review concepts.

Send a pm or post if you have questions or are interested.

    Hello Mr. Sherman
I am interested in the coaching. I am a member of DTB. My question is, in your forum post you mention a $50 reduction if you 4 table. Does this make your hourly rate $150 or $200? Either way I'm ready and my availability is today 10/27, Thurs the 28th and Fri the 29th. I also have skype and teamviewer ready to go, and I use HM professional.
    Thanks
    Chris

Unfortunately I can't start coaching til I'm back in America on 11/9/2010. But PM me with availability after that, it'll be 50/HR off and if you can get a group of 2 or more people to work on the same day and I 4 table it'll be 150/hr to coach both of you. Try to find a group and arrange times I'm best on Thursdays and Fridays.

just to make sure I understand

    $150 for 2 participants
or $150 each for for 2 participants
and how many hours will we need to sign-up for do you think?some tourneys can go 12 hours

$150 each for 2 participants $100/hr for 4 participants or more.. Tourneys can go quite a long time but I'll only work for the number of hours you guys want to pay for. I suggest I review a hand-history of a deep run in a tourney which I think will be more useful.

first group session done, let me know what your thoughts are here, ask Blismur and Anton87 for information about what we did and if they thought it was worthwhile.
