Hey all
I've been building my roll in the micro cash games. Im playing 25nl at BCP and pleased so far. For the last 4 nights I've noticed that there are two tournaments each night. One is a 30+3 freezeout and the other is a 30+3 with 2 rebuys and one add on. Late reg for an hour. Both tournies have a tiny turnout, after late reg 150 players seems to be average, though the max is 2000. The tournies guarantee 6k and 7k.
With little online MTT experience where should I start? It seems to be +ev to get in on these.
Thanks

hey mate,

dont know, how juicy the tourneys on BCP are, but you should start with smaller tourney like 10$. you have bankroll at ~1000$, right? (you are bankroll-nit (like u said), so when you play nl25 prolly more, but whatever :) )

when my bankroll was pretty small, i handled tourneys like that. i played a lot of satellites (especially the sunday million ones on stars) and these gave me 215 T$(Tourney$), when i got the ticket. those money i used for tourneys only and everytime i played one, i had to win T$ before.

dont know, if this would be a possbility for you or if this is even possible at BCP, but just an idea.

as a general guideline i would recommend, that you play some tourneys between 3 and 15$ buyin and get a feel for your edge there. play like 20-30 tourneys and if you feel, you have a good edge, then you can play the higher ones.

^^ Have to agree with the above. Get some experience at some lower buy in tournies, and then make your move up from there. If you have the time to watch some of the action in the 30 dollar ones, by all means you should do that and take some mental notes of the play. I also don't know anything about BCP tournaments, but if the fields in the lower buy ins are soft, try to make a little extra cash if you have the time and then work your way up. Just like playing cash

Thanks all
Will do, Im not planning on spending heaps of time in the tournies. So much to learn at cash. I'll watch it take some notes and use some points for the BI.
Thanls a lot.

Yo mats - I used to play cash games exclusively and I randomly won a tourney and won, and now I'm completely hooked.

I think there is SO MUCH dead money in those tournaments - the senseless crap these players try to pull is unbelievable. I could tell hundreds of stories of dudes calling all in's 55bb deep with hands like 75off.

I've moved from cash to tourney's and I'm having a lot more fun and making a lot more $$$$$$.

Good to hear taco,
I just played one and made the final table. not bad for buying in with my pp.
I played pretty tight, a 12/11. not sure if that is tight or not for a FR MTT. I know i missed a lot of profitable steal spots because i am simply ignorant and dont know how to spot them.
TBH I still dig cash games more but the fields here at BCP seem real soft. Im still sticking to cash but think picking up some MTT skills will be real beneficial.
The MTTs I described run every night and theres a lot of money there.
