In this special episode of Buddha's Dojang, I'm joined by fellow DTB coach Dustin Cook as we take a look at some hands where he raises in the cutoff and gets 3-bet by the button. In each hand he calls and takes a flop out of position and without the initiative.

just wanted to mention that the read on the player "flannthemann1" was off. this is not a "fish", but rather a multi-tabling reg.

Great video, tons of interesting discussion. Regarding MariaKra, I feel like people are fascinated with her so much because she makes such obvious -EV plays but yet is still a winner. What aspects of her game do you think she excels at to make up for the dumb cold-calls w/ T8o and the button-limping?

Mariakra, plays pretty well postflop and is a decent hand reader. It's shocking to me that she has won in the past, though. If she doesn't stop these weird non-standard plays I don't think she will continue to win.

From what I've heard she practices good game selection. You can make up for a lot of mistakes by playing with people who make bigger ones than you do.
I also hear she's an expert with the doubling cube.

I am certain that expert handling of the doubling cube would only get her to break-even. In my DB (about 50k hands with her) she is a slight loser.
