View Full Version : BR for Multi-Tabling?

This may sound stupid, but I didn't think about it until tonight... For my BR management, I use the 50 buy in rule, so for 10 dollar tables I need about $500 plus, but I got to thinking....
If you are going to multi-table, don't you need about 4 times the buy in? So, since I'm doing 4 tables now and have moved up to the 10 + 1 stakes, wouldn't I need 2K?
I just wanna make sure that I stick with good Bankroll management and never have to reload again. :)

You dont need 50 BI per table, 10 table or just one its the same, you just push up the amount of hand you play by hour.

I'm playing the 11's on stars with about 70 buy ins and 14 tabling it. I think ur BR should be based on ur ROI. Higher ROI less buy ins need but lower ROI more is needed.
When moving to new level just mix them into your regular games. I opened up 8 5.50's and added 4 11's into the mix.

Thanks, I currently have about 70 buy in's at FTP for 11's, and just above 40 buy in's for 5.50's at PS. I'm actually concentrating on playing more at FTP since I now get rakeback there. As for my ROI, I know my current ROI is pretty good, but my overall based on long term play is in the negative.
I'm still working on a lot things to improve my game, but at least here I have a fighting chance now.

Your bankroll requirements should not change dramatically, however if you go on a bad run, then you have to be a little more careful to keep checking to make sure you are not getting under rolled for your level.
If you only check every 16 games then its possible to have a few bad sets and start to be under rolled because you are only checking every 16 games.
The only reason I would bump up the number of BI that you use to play on when multitabling is that your ROI will drop slightly making the variance a bit bigger. If that is the case your swings will be bigger and having a larger BR makes sense.
