The Last Cigar, Day 9, 8/23/2010 – First Shot at Job Market in LONGGGGGTIME

Hey DTB, I'm proud to say I just sent my resume off on dice.com for a java developer position about 5 minutes ago! I haven't applied for a job in a long time, maybe a year?. I'm really rocking and rolling.

I pulled an all nighter last night coding and learning technology and using MS visual studio to start developing a site that I can show prospective employers a portfoliio. Not as frustrating as the previous night, things were working. I only say in gest that when technology doesn't work it's bad...to be honest, if you sit and think for a minute @ how complicated and advanced the software you use is, you'd be astonished. Most people don't think about it because they don't have to, nor care too, and that's normal. Liken it to a fish poker player watching Hunter play a HU match, they'll be like, "Oh yeah, great, He hit a couple sets, and top pair, he's just playing poker, what's the big deal?" But take someone who can appreciate the game and plays and cares about getting better and you'll here, "Oh man, I never thought to consider that, amazing..."

Ok, lets get real...I'm getting PISSED.
-I'm not playing cards and this is driving me NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-I haven't smoked since the one weekly allowed cigar on Saturday, so I held true, but the urge is creepin'.....I feel it.
