The Last Cigar, Day 15, 8/29/10 – stoxev
Yo, gonna keep this one short and sweet.
all the habit stuff is going fine.
Sweated my friend in the Sunday million and he got coolered so hard on his last hand I was practically throwing my laptop. He had about 22 bb opens AA and a guy flats in the bb with T2o flop QT5, the dude check jams over my friends c-bet, my friend calls and a 2 binks on the river. OMG. sick. What makes it bad is not the beat so much, but that sick feeling of finality that it's GAME OVER.
I bought Stoxev software early a.m. and am waiting for Scylla to send me the key. I had to have this software, it was driving me insane not to have it. I downloaded pokerazor, but it's only a trial so i can't save any analysis, and also pokerazor was bought up by some German company so pokerazor II won't be out till '11 - '12 and probably is what their website says.
Anyhow, at this point I'm obsessing over using it so much I'd rather put hands in there and analyse than play actually. Also I'm tired looking at ev stuff on my own, and recursive ev stuff and this and that, I'd rather have the software do it. And it does multiway and tourney stuff too. Well see if this puts a big boost to my game or not, in either case, I have to have it.
-peace.

Glad you didn’t bust your laptop man. Just hope your wife did not get a shock with all your screaming when the river came…..lol

how long did it take for scylla to reply to you with the key? I am trying to decide if I should get stoxev but if the support is sketchy then I think ill pass.

I’ve always been happy with scylla’s support. I think it’s great you’ve been spending time with that software. I used to do it a lot, but haven’t so much lately. I’m looking to get familiar with it again though.

I bought it now so will be spending quite a bit of time relearning everything again

cool, i just spent 2 hours with a buddy proving you can’t call down 3 streets with 99 on very many dry boards, if any at all.
but you can take a check/call check/check check/call line profitably
still learning how to do this stuff, but it’s amazing.

If you go to his site, he has 3 video tutorials. They’re super dry, but you’ll learn stuff.
